Q: What trucks does this tail light set fit?
A: It fits 2014–2018 Chevy Silverado 1500, 2019 Silverado 1500 LD, 2015–2019 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD, and 2015–2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD trucks with dually wheels. This is specifically for trucks without factory LED tail lights. If your truck came from the factory with LED tail lights, these will not work.

Q: What is included in the set?
A: You get a pair of complete tail light assemblies—one driver side, one passenger side—with all six bulbs pre-installed. The housings, lenses, and bulbs are ready to install out of the box.

Q: Are bulbs included, and which bulb type does it use?
A: Yes, bulbs are included. The assemblies use 3047 incandescent bulbs and all six are installed when you receive them.

Q: Is this a direct replacement for the original tail lights?
A: Yes, for 2016–2019 trucks it is a direct plug-and-play replacement. For 2014–2015 model years, the tail lights install in the same location but you must reuse your original wiring harness—the connector setup changed slightly between model years.

Q: My old tail lights had moisture and condensation inside. Will these have the same problem?
A: Moisture intrusion is a common complaint on the original GM tail lights, usually caused by worn bulb socket gaskets or seal failures. These assemblies are new with fresh gaskets and seals. To keep them that way, make sure bulbs are seated firmly and the housing gasket sits flush against the body when you install them. Avoid pressure washing directly at the seams.

Q: What if one tail light works but the other does not after installation?
A: First check that the bulb is seated completely in the socket—a partially seated bulb is the most common cause. Next, inspect the connector for corrosion or bent pins. If the connector looks good but the light still does not work, check the ground wire at the rear junction box near the spare tire. A corroded or loose ground can cause intermittent or no power to one side.

Q: What if all the rear lights act erratically—flickering, wrong lights coming on, or turn signals affecting brake lights?
A: Erratic behavior across multiple rear lights is almost always a vehicle wiring issue, not the tail light assemblies. The most common cause is a bad ground at the junction board behind the spare tire, or corrosion in the wiring harness where it connects to the junction board. Check the blue connector at the junction board for water intrusion or corrosion, and verify the ground pin has continuity to the frame.
