Description

This OE-style headlight pair replaces worn, yellowed, or moisture-damaged factory housings on 2007–2014 Silverado trucks equipped with halogen headlights. The chrome housing with clear lens and clear reflector design matches the factory appearance, making it a straightforward replacement for trucks with faded or hazy original headlights. The assemblies use the same 9005 high beam and H11 low beam bulb types as the factory setup, so you transfer your existing bulbs and bolt them in without any rewiring.

  • Compatible with:
    • 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
    • 2007-2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 3500

Cross-Reference

Part number cross-reference: This headlight pair is built as an OE-style replacement for interchange numbers GM2502280 and GM2503280, and matches OEM reference numbers 22853027 and 22853028. Brand names and part numbers are used for cross-reference only; this is an aftermarket replacement assembly, not a GM-branded genuine part.

FAQ – Fitment & Product Details

Q: What trucks does this headlight set fit?
A: It fits 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2007–2014 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. Two important exclusions: it does not fit 2007 Classic models (the old body style that carried over into early 2007), and it only fits trucks with factory halogen headlights. If your truck came with factory HID or projector headlights, these will not be compatible.

Q: What is included in the set?
A: You get a pair of headlight assemblies—one driver side (left) and one passenger side (right). Bulbs are not included. You will need to transfer your existing bulbs from your old headlights or purchase new ones separately.

Q: What bulb types does this headlight use?
A: It uses 9005 for high beam, H11 for low beam, and 4157NA for the parking light and turn signal. These are the same bulb types as the factory halogen headlights on this generation Silverado.

Q: Is this a direct plug-and-play replacement?
A: Yes. The mounting points and electrical connectors match the factory headlights. Remove your old headlights, transfer your bulbs to the new housings, and bolt them in. No wiring modifications or adapters are needed.

Q: Will these fit if I have factory HID headlights?
A: No. These are designed for trucks with factory halogen headlights only. If your Silverado came with factory HID or projector headlights, the housing shape and electrical connectors are different and these will not fit.

Q: I want to upgrade to LED bulbs. Will that cause problems?
A: You can install LED bulbs in these housings, but be aware of a few things. Some LED bulbs may cause flickering or require anti-flicker modules on Silverados due to how the daytime running light circuit works. Also, LED bulbs produce less heat than halogen bulbs, which means condensation inside the housing may take longer to clear after temperature changes. If you experience flickering with LED bulbs, an anti-flicker capacitor or relay harness usually resolves it.

Q: What if there is moisture or condensation inside the headlight after installation?
A: Some condensation after temperature changes is normal and should clear once the headlights warm up during use. If moisture persists or pools inside the housing, check that the bulb access caps are fully seated and the gaskets are intact. Many owners apply a thin bead of silicone around the lens-to-housing seam as a precaution, since aftermarket housings sometimes have less adhesive than factory units.

Q: What if my headlights flicker or dim randomly?
A: Flickering that affects both headlights and dash lights is almost always a vehicle electrical issue, not the headlight assemblies. Common causes on Silverados include a failing alternator (even if it tests fine under no load), corroded battery cables, or a bad ground connection. The battery current sensor on the negative terminal is a known failure point on 2007+ trucks that can cause voltage fluctuations.
