Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What trucks does this headlight set fit?
A: It fits 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 models and 2007–2014 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD models. All trucks must have the new body style (GMT900 platform) with the stacked headlight design. It does not fit 2007 Silverado Classic models, which use the older side-by-side headlight configuration from the previous generation.

Q: How do I know if I have the new body style or the 2007 Classic?
A: The easiest way to tell is by looking at the headlights and tailgate. New body style trucks have stacked headlights (one solid assembly per side) and a large Chevy bowtie emblem centered on the tailgate. Classic models have side-by-side headlights with a chrome strip between them and "CHEVROLET" spelled out across the tailgate. If your truck looks like a 2008 or 2009 Silverado, you have the new body style.

Q: What is included in the set?
A: The set includes one driver-side headlight assembly and one passenger-side headlight assembly. Bulbs are not included. You will need 9005 bulbs for the high beams, H11 bulbs for the low beams, and 4157NA bulbs for the parking lights and turn signals.

Q: What powers the LED daytime running light strip?
A: The LED DRL strip has its own wire lead that connects to a 12V power source. Most installations tap into an existing switched power circuit or the factory DRL wiring. The LED strip is separate from the halogen headlight circuits.

Q: Is this a direct replacement or will I need to modify my truck?
A: This is a direct bolt-on replacement. The mounting points align with the factory locations, and the electrical connectors match the original harness. No cutting, splicing, or modification is required for the main headlight functions. The LED DRL strip requires a separate 12V connection.

Q: I've heard aftermarket headlights get moisture inside. Is that normal?
A: Light condensation can form inside any headlight assembly during temperature changes—this is normal and typically clears up after running the headlights for 10–15 minutes or parking in sunlight. Heavy water accumulation that does not clear up usually indicates a seal issue. Check that all bulb caps are fully seated and that no mounting points are cracked before contacting support.

Q: What if one headlight doesn't work after installation?
A: First, check that the bulb is fully seated in the socket and the connector is clicked into place. If both headlights fail to work, check the headlight fuse and relay in the underhood fuse box—these trucks use a 20-amp fuse for the low beams. Intermittent flickering on GMT900 trucks is sometimes caused by a worn headlight switch or voltage fluctuations from the BCM, which are vehicle-side issues and not related to the headlight assembly itself.
