Description

This kit combines chrome headlight assemblies with clear corner lenses and 3D LED tail lights for 2003–2006 Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500, 3500 and HD trucks, plus 2007 Silverado Classic models, as long as they are fleetside trucks without factory lower body cladding. The headlights are reflector-style housings that accept 9005 high beam and 9006 low beam bulbs, while the tail lights use integrated red LEDs, with a pair of load resistors included to keep turn signals from hyperflashing after the LED upgrade. This setup is aimed at owners who want to refresh cloudy factory lights and add modern LED tails without giving up bolt-on fitment for their GMT800 Silverado.

  • Compatible with:

03-06 Chevy Silverado 1500 2500 3500

03-06 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD 2500 HD

  • Placement on vehicle: front left/right headlights and rear left/right tail lights

FAQ – Fitment & Product Details

Q: What trucks does this headlight and tail light kit fit?
A: It fits 2003–2006 Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500, 3500 and 1500 HD/2500 HD trucks, plus 2007 Silverado 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD and 3500 Classic models. All supported trucks must be fleetside rather than dually, and they must not have factory cladding on the lower body panels.

Q: Does this kit fit trucks with factory body cladding or step-side beds?
A: No. The fitment notes specify models without factory cladding only and fleetside beds only, so it is not intended for cladded packages or step-side configurations.

Q: What is included in the box?
A: The kit includes one pair of chrome headlight assemblies, one pair of 3D LED tail lights, and one pair of LED resistors for the rear turn signal circuits. Bulbs for the headlights are not included.

Q: What bulb types do the headlights use, and are bulbs included?
A: The headlight housings are designed to use 9005 bulbs for the high beams and 9006 bulbs for the low beams. Bulbs are not included, so you will reuse your existing halogen bulbs if they are in good condition or install new 9005 and 9006 bulbs at the same time.

Q: How do the 3D LED tail lights connect, and what are the resistors for?
A: The LED tail lights plug into the rear lamp wiring using the supplied harnesses, and the included load resistors are wired in parallel with the turn signal circuits to add electrical load. This helps prevent the common “hyperflash” rapid-blinking behavior that often occurs when stock halogen bulbs are replaced with low-resistance LED lamps.

Q: Are these assemblies a direct replacement for the factory lights?
A: The headlights are built as bolt-on reflector housings for the factory headlamp locations and use the same 9005/9006 bulb layout as the original assemblies. The tail lights are designed to replace the stock housings with LED units and require the included resistors to be wired in to keep the turn signals blinking at a normal rate.

Q: What materials are used for the housings and lenses?
A: The assemblies use ABS plastic housings with polycarbonate lenses, which is a common combination for modern OE-style lighting and provides impact resistance with clear optical surfaces.

Q: What if the headlights flicker or dim after installation?
A: On 2003–2007 Silverado and related GMT800 trucks, widespread flickering or pulsing in both headlights is often related to vehicle-side electrical issues such as a weak alternator, poor battery connections, or ground problems rather than the headlight housings themselves. If both sides flicker, check battery condition, alternator output, and main ground points before assuming the new lights are faulty.

Q: What if the turn signals flash very quickly after installing the LED tail lights?
A: Rapid “hyperflash” usually means the truck’s flasher module is seeing the lower resistance of the LED turn signal circuits as a burned-out bulb. In that case, make sure each included resistor is correctly wired across the corresponding turn signal circuit and mounted to a metal surface where it can dissipate heat safely.

Q: Is some moisture or fogging inside the lenses normal?
A: A small amount of light fogging or condensation can appear inside sealed headlight or tail light housings when temperature and humidity change quickly, and it often clears on its own once the lamps warm up. Standing water or heavy moisture that does not clear usually indicates a leak at a seal or vent; in that case, remove the assembly, dry it thoroughly, and inspect the gasket areas so any gaps can be sealed with an appropriate automotive sealant.

Q: Is an installation guide or printed instructions included?
A: Installation Instruction is NOT Included, Professional Installation is Highly Recommended
