FAQ – Fitment & Product Details

Q: What vehicles does this headlight set fit?
A: It fits 2003–2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 and 2500, 2003–2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 1500 HD, 2500, 2500 HD, and 3500, plus 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, and 3500 Classic models. All applications are for trucks using this front-end style without factory body cladding.

Q: What does “models without factory cladding only” mean?
A: Some Avalanche and Silverado trucks from these years were built with large plastic body cladding panels along the sides and lower front end. This headlight and bumper lamp set is designed for trucks that do not have that cladding package and use the standard front fascia. If your truck has extensive plastic cladding around the lower front and sides, this set is not the right match for your front-end trim.

Q: What is included in this set?
A: The set includes a pair of headlight assemblies (left and right) and matching bumper lamps, as shown and described on the listing. Hardware and bulbs are not included. so you should reuse your existing mounting hardware and bulbs or purchase new ones separately.

Q: Are bulbs included, and which bulb types does it use?
A: For most 2003–2006 Silverado and Avalanche applications, owners reuse their factory halogen bulb sizes, so it is best to confirm the bulb types in your owner’s manual or by checking the markings on your existing headlight bulbs before ordering.

Q: Is this a direct replacement for the original headlights?
A: Yes. The item specifics describe a direct-replacement fitment, so the housings are intended to mount in the stock locations and connect to the existing headlight wiring for the main low and high beam functions. The LED DRL accent typically requires a separate power connection to an ignition or parking light circuit, and many owners choose to use an add-a-fuse or similar method so they do not cut into the factory harness.

Q: Does this work on Avalanche trucks with the plastic body cladding?
A: No. Only for models without factory cladding. Avalanche trucks with full side and lower-body cladding use a different front fascia and headlight configuration, so this set is not intended for those trims.

Q: What kind of lighting technology does this use?
A: This item is LED lighting technology.

Q: What if I see condensation or moisture inside the lens after installation?
A: Light fogging or a small amount of condensation can occur when temperature and humidity change, even on OEM headlights, and often clears after driving with the lights on. If you see standing water or heavy moisture that does not clear, it usually indicates a leak at a seal or around a bulb opening. In that case, remove the assembly, dry it thoroughly, and inspect the gasket areas so any gaps can be sealed with an appropriate automotive sealant.

Q: What if the headlights flicker or dim after installation?
A: On 2003–2007 Silverado and related trucks, widespread flickering or pulsing in both headlights is often caused by vehicle-side electrical issues such as a weak alternator, voltage regulator problems, poor ground connections, or battery current sensor issues rather than the headlight assemblies themselves. If both sides flicker, check battery condition, charging voltage, and headlight ground points before assuming the new lights are faulty.

Q: Do I need professional installation?
A: Many owners with basic tools handle these replacements at home, but if you are not comfortable removing the front grille or adjusting headlight aim, professional installation can help ensure correct alignment, weather sealing, and clean wiring for the LED DRL feature.
